Terms and conditions for industrial filtration equipment

Clarifications & Definitions

What does “high-viscosity liquid media” include?

High-viscosity liquid media refers to fluids with a dynamic viscosity above 500 cP at operating temperature, including but not limited to crude oil residues, polymer melts, heavy fuel oils, and concentrated chemical slurries. Mediagood filters are tested for such media under controlled conditions; actual performance may vary with specific chemical composition and temperature.

Are multi-stage bag filters suitable for intermittent batch processes?

Yes, the multi-stage bag filter system can be used in both continuous and batch operations. However, for batch processes with frequent start-stop cycles, we recommend consulting our engineering team to confirm seal integrity and bag replacement intervals. Standard warranty does not cover damage caused by thermal cycling beyond the specified range.

What is the maximum operating pressure for the horizontal plate pressure filter?

The standard horizontal plate pressure filter is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 10 bar (145 psi) at 120°C. Higher pressure ratings are available upon request as a custom configuration. All pressure ratings are based on clean water testing; actual permissible pressure depends on the solids concentration and abrasiveness of the slurry.

Does the automatic self-cleaning strainer require a separate power supply?

Yes, the automatic self-cleaning strainer requires a 230 V AC, 50 Hz single-phase power supply for the rotating scraper motor and control unit. A low-voltage 24 V DC option is available for hazardous area installations. The strainer does not require compressed air or additional hydraulic lines for its cleaning cycle.

How is “micron level” defined in Mediagood product documentation?

“Micron level” refers to the nominal filtration rating expressed in micrometers (µm). For bag filters, the nominal rating indicates the particle size at which 98% of particles are retained under standard test conditions. Actual retention efficiency may vary with particle shape, density, and flow rate. We provide detailed test reports for each filter media grade upon request.

What is excluded from the standard warranty for petrochemical plant installations?

The standard warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of commissioning. It explicitly excludes damage caused by abrasive wear, chemical attack outside the recommended pH range (4–10), improper installation, unauthorized modifications, or operation beyond the published pressure and temperature limits. Consumable items such as filter bags, gaskets, and scraper blades are also excluded.
